Effective 22 August 2026 · How Destiny Code handles and protects your information

Destiny Code provides personalised numerology and life path reading services through destinycode.co.za. For purposes of the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA), Destiny Code is the responsible party for personal information processed through this website. Privacy enquiries may be sent to admin@destinycode.co.za.

We may collect your name, surname, email address, telephone or WhatsApp number, billing address, account details, order history, EFT payment reference and proof of payment. To prepare a reading, we may also collect your date, time and place of birth, referral information, questions you submit, and information about relationships, health, career, finances or other personal circumstances.

Some booking information may qualify as special personal information under POPIA. You provide it voluntarily for the requested reading. If you submit another person’s information, including compatibility-reading partner details, you confirm that you have their permission to do so.

The website may process IP address, browser and device information, security logs, pages visited, login/session cookies, cart cookies and account preferences. Essential cookies are used to operate WordPress, WooCommerce, checkout and account features. Optional analytics or marketing cookies will only be used where configured and lawfully permitted.

We process information to provide and personalise your reading; administer bookings, EFT payments, accounts and orders; communicate service updates; send transactional emails; prevent fraud and secure the website; keep accounting and legal records; respond to requests or complaints; and improve our services.

Our lawful grounds may include performing our contract with you, complying with legal obligations, your consent where required, and our legitimate interests in operating and protecting the service without overriding your rights.

Information is shared only where reasonably necessary with the numerologist fulfilling your booking and with service providers that support hosting, WordPress, WooCommerce, Elementor, website security, email delivery, backups and professional advice. It may also be disclosed where required by law, court order or a competent authority. We do not sell or rent your personal information.

Some technology providers may process information outside South Africa. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to use providers and safeguards that offer an appropriate level of protection, as required by POPIA.

Booking and account information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, handle follow-up queries and meet legal, tax, accounting and security obligations. Order and payment records may be retained for the period required by applicable law, generally at least five years where applicable. Information no longer required will be deleted, destroyed or de-identified, subject to lawful retention duties.

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect information against loss, unauthorised access, misuse, alteration or disclosure. No internet service is completely risk-free. If a security compromise affects your personal information, we will act and provide notifications as required by law.

Subject to POPIA and other applicable law, you may ask whether we hold your information, request access or correction, object to certain processing, withdraw consent where processing relies on consent, or request deletion where there is no lawful reason to retain the information. The services are intended for adults. A person under 18 should not submit personal information or place an order without the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian.

Numerology readings are interpretive guidance for personal reflection and entertainment. They are not medical, psychological, legal, investment or financial advice and do not guarantee any outcome. Please consult an appropriately qualified professional when making decisions in those areas.

We may update this policy when our services, providers or legal obligations change. The current version and effective date will appear on this page.
